This product from Chess Baron: This is the Bud Rosewood version of the Bronte commissioned design shown. It is a luxury chess set – but we can’t decide which we prefer – the bud rosewood or the ebony version. The Ebony is a slightly more expensive wood, but the Rosewood highlights the curves better with it’s golden colour. It’s available in both (see above for Ebony). The style is Traditional Staunton. The ‘bust style’ of the back of the necks base is the design style which we believe to be quite outstanding and formed the basis of the design commission. We think the set belongs in a museum. Every piece is beautiful, but the knight is particularly appealing – the complete luxury chess set takes nearly three weeks to manufacture. The set comes with two queens.
