The Imperial set of chess pieces is a neat innovatively designed set of chess pieces with superb balance and weighting. The material is ebonised which ages wonderfully – worth while when you think of future episodes of the Antique Roadshow with the significantly older Fiona Bruce (no doubt still looking as wonderful). With a King base diameter of 1.5″ you can choose a smaller than full size board, or go for the full size if you like plenty of space around your pieces. Double Queens
