5.5″ King. Why ‘concentric’? Well each piece has a matching centre ball that is key to the name and the design of these Staunton with a twist chess pieces. Carved from rosewood, the design is just incredible for something that is all one piece. Each ball looks like large filigree beads. Take a close look at the honey colored Queen and you will be able to truly appreciate the work that went into this design. You have to wonder just how they do it! Double-weighted, the King is 5.5 inches with a 1.5 inch base requiring a board of at least 1.75 inch square. These chess pieces are bound to become a talking point. Note: Chess Board not included.
